Sponsors and Supporters

Numerous projects of the Putbus Theatre Friends' Association can only be put to life through generous contributions of our sponsors and supporters. Even though our volunteers do not receive any monetary compensation, there are still other expenditures to consider, such as material costs and artists remuneration.

First of all, we should mention Sparkasse Vorpommern as the main sponsor of PUTBUS-FESTSPIELE (Putbus Festival). This event would not be feasible without its continuous generous support.

The housing cooperative "Rugard" in Bergen will be the main sponsor of the Rügen comedy regatta in 2022. Both partners hope to win new visitors for this series of events together and to present the cooperative members an attractive event offer.

The Rügensche Kleinbahn has been a sponsor of the Rügen Cabaret Regatta since 2024. In addition to financial support, we have agreed to display our flyers and posters.

We receive subsidies from public funds of the Vorpommern-Rügen District, allocated for the promotion of culture. Music in Park, one of the Putbus Festival events, has been repeatedly financed that way.

The Honorary Office and Citizen Engagement Foundation (Stiftung für Ehrenamt und bürgerschaftliches Engagement in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) regularly provides financial aid for various projects, such as recruiting new members, organizing events for children, or Music in Park. Professional development workshops, offered by the foundation, have been of great help as well.

A real boost to the membership was achieved through the campaign „Call for Members“, which was run together with the Federal Cultural Foundation (Kulturstiftung des Bundes). As a result, we managed to win a substantial bonus.

Numerous opportunities for professional development through webinars were offered by the social enterprise „Haus des Stiftens“. The IT-Portal „Stifter Helfen“ has provided affordable or free soft- and hardware.

The German Foundation for Commitment and Volunteering is the first nationwide contact point to promote voluntary commitments. The founding of the Federal Foundation itself is a key result of the "Equal Living Conditions Commission" and a joint project of the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Homeland and the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture.

Like Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania as a whole, Western Pomerania and eastern Mecklenburg have developed positively overall. But of course there are still areas where there is a need to catch up compared to the western part of the country. The economic power is still lower, the infrastructural connection worse. And unemployment is still higher. Structural problems are particularly evident in rural areas and beyond the coastal regions.

The funds from the Fund for Western Pomerania and Eastern Mecklenburg are intended to help provide additional support for the development process there - especially in areas where other funding instruments do not work or are insufficient.
