Meeting of the Germany Route of Historic Theatres on 6 and 7 April
Representatives of the Germany Route of Historic Theatres met on 6 and 7 April in the historic Freiberg City Theatre from 1790.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the partners of the Germany Route to exchange ideas and forge joint plans.
Quote:
The main topics of the meeting were upcoming projects, including the urgently needed new website, recruiting members for Perspectiv - Association of Historic Theatres in Europe, and joint events such as the European Historic Theatres Day on October 25, 2025. Current economic and personnel challenges were also discussed. At the same time, Marco Karthe handed over the position of Route Manager to Peter Seibert for the next two years.
The day before, the visiting partners were able to experience a magnificent performance of "Doctor Zhivago" and, after the meeting, take a look behind the scenes at the theater.
Especially in these times, the value of cross-border cooperation in culture becomes apparent. The European Network of Historic Theatres has big plans and will continue to work hard to promote solidarity and partnership.
