General Meeting MUTHEA

MUTHEA – is the Federal Association of German Music and Theater Promotion Societies, of which the Putbus Theatre Friends Association is also a member. The general meeting appointed me as its representative.

On April 3, 2025, the members met online for a general meeting. Among other things, the general overhaul of the National Theater Mannheim was reported on. The theater's ensemble delighted us with an opera performance in Schwetzingen during our theater trip last year. Remember?

As a newcomer to this association, I was very impressed by the work of the other support associations. Another avenue for networking is opening up, and we should definitely take advantage of it.

We will meet in person in Pforzheim in October. The social development of culture and education will be a central topic there, as the framework for culture is becoming increasingly rigid and funding for education is becoming increasingly scarce.

The participants agreed that without us, the support associations, many cultural activities would not exist. We are a pillar of democracy.
